About the show:
A lonely, middle-aged art teacher and an outcast high school student fall in love. Yes, love. But as they dive into their relationship, paranoia, co-dependency and the very real threat of jail-time begin to tear them apart. The Ahimsa Collective has decided to take this challenging, strange and perhaps even sexy play and turn it into an opportunity to build community and discussion. Visual artists and musicians will be asked to collaborate on the production, exhibiting their art in tandem with the play.
About the Playwright:
Matthew Chester, The Ahimsa Collective's Company Writer, is a writer, actor, and tries to direct every five years or so. He is the playwright of Epilogue, written for The Ahimsa Collective’s Living Room Tour, an original play toured through living room tours across Southern California. He wrote the book for Rufio: King of the Lost Boys, a musical spectacular, and his own play, Despite Everything, which he directed. He is also part of the sketch and improv troupe seen performing regularly in Los Angeles, The Younger Statesmen.
